Can-Am’s rookie pro Chase Snapp claimed his first ever podium position in third.
Good weather and good track conditions were on hand at Steel City as racers were getting ready for what would be one of the most intense and interesting rounds of racing so far this season as positions were swapped and mechanical failures brought heartbreak for some and gave others a shot at the podium
Can-Am rookie, Chase Snapp, was most impressive in moto one as he came off the start in the top five and immediately began to charge forward. Snapp and Thomas Brown seemed to pick up where they left off in round five, battling hard with positions changing hands several times, but Snapp was able to hang on and keep his position ahead of Brown. Snapp would also benefit when Josh Upperman had a get off at the midway point allowing Snapp to move into second place, where he would finish out his moto.
“I got a good start and I just kept my head down and tried to stay focused. Thomas was really tough out there, but I am so excited to be up here,” said Snapp after the first moto.
