Motoworks’ Josh Frederick came on strong at round six of the 2010 WORCS series to take the Pro ATV win and increase his points lead, while Dillon Zimmerman’s consistency allowed him to finish in sixth and enter the top five in the series pro points.

The Cahuilla Creek MX Park, the hosting facility for round six, saw dry and dusty conditions, but the desert like terrain is where Josh Frederick feels at home and it showed as he was in the top five off the start. Frederick paced himself and waited for the leaders to make a mistake and that’s exactly what happened, which allowed him to move into the number two spot behind Beau Baron. Frederick would battle with Baron for several laps and in the final lap, Frederick would give an extra push to take over the lead and pull away, giving Frederick his third win of the season.

“I really needed this win. Beau Baron and I are really close this year and this win gives me a little more of a comfort zone, but anything can still happen so I will still be out there giving it my all,” stated Frederick.

Rookie Pro, Dillon Zimmerman has been quite consistent all season long and this round was no exception. Zimmerman was just outside of the top five off the line and was looking strong as he battled for position.

Zimmerman would eventually end his day in the number six spot and putting him in a comfortable fifth place in the pro points chase. “I’m pretty excited to be fifth in points. That was my goal for this season so I am hoping to keep it there,” said Zimmerman.

Jeremie Warnia came out for round six as well and got a great start, taking the holeshot, but as he and Dustin Nelson were battling for the lead, Warnia would crash, sending him back several places.

With only three more rounds to go for the 2010 season, the team is on track with their goals and if Josh Frederick’s luck holds out, he could very well reclaim the championship.

Round seven of the 2010 WORCS series will head to the state of Washington where Straddleline ORV Park will play host on July 24th – 25th as Josh Frederick goes for his fourth win on the season.
