Another race down and still almost a full season to go. The team debated on whether or not to go to Perris due to incoming storms that were plaguing California, but after a quick call down south to Perris Auto Speedway Zack Forster Racing loaded up and headed off to the races. Both Zack and John performed well in qualifying. In the main event that was overwhelmed with cautions, John and Zack definitely had to use their driving skills to maneuver around the track. On lap 22 Zack passed Jeff Dunham for the lead in turn three and four but Dunham came back at Zack on the front straightaway and pushed Zack into the wall. John made several great moves one of which was when Laney and Hixon were battling it out in turn one and two for their positions and John waited until the right opportunity and drove right through while they were busy trying to recover from door slamming one another. The night was quickly cut short due to another caution on lap 23 and then pouring rain causing the Perris Officials to call the race. The results: Zack 2nd and John 6th. Special thanks to Craig of DWT who battled the weather and came to see us in Perris. We had a great trip and a great race. See you in Hanford on March 29th.
