It was hot, humid and full of drama as the world’s top karting teams contested the Sarno round of the European Championships and World Cup. Johnathan Thonon scored a convincing victory en route to the KZ1 World Cup honors for CRG, while the PCR team behind Thomas Knopper (‘06 KZ2 European Champion) dominated the Euro Champ KZ2 round, to the chagrin of his competitors he was allowed to retain his KZ2 eligibility after taking a year off from the tour. The Maranello and BRM teams were also in competitive form never out of the top five all weekend, with Maranello’s Harvey scoring the Euro Champ Junior win.
The paddock was buzzing all weekend with the performance of DWT’s all-new M-Series LV (low Volume) wheel. The circus travels to Marienburg Belgium September 22nd – 23rd to settle the 2007 World Championships.
