Paet (pronounced “pate”) Hidalgo, a graduate of Seattle University and University of Washington, is well known in the auto racing and action sports arenas. The national driving champion is a veteran of Toyota Atlantic, SCCA Trans Am, Formula 3000; and he is currently a licensed IndyCar driver. With strong ties to No Fear, Inc. and Spy Optic / Orange 21, Inc., the latter of which he was a ground floor investor, Paet was also the former owner of the ground-breaking Renspeed brand of racing karts.
Mr. Henline has been at the helm of DWT, formerly known as Douglas Wheel, since the company’s beginning in 1991. Doug and Paet have known each other for many years, and share a common passion for motor sports. Paet’s transitions into the Chief Executive role follows an 18 month stint leading the companies marketing and re-branding efforts as a contracted consultant.
DWT / Douglas Technologies Group, Inc. are based in Vista, California with European operations in Milan, Italy, which is managed by former World Championship kart racer Ben Horstman.
