“Race One

Blasting up the start straight and quickly pulling a couple of bike lengths in front of his fellow competitors, Justin powered the F&F Racing GYTR Yamaha YFZ450 around the sweeping first corner and headed out on the opening lap, closely followed by David Wray, Sean Goss and Terence Mackin. Using the next couple of laps to pick out the smoothest lines around the demanding circuit, Justin quickly found his rhythm and gradually eased away from the ensuing pack. Track conditions had changed drastically since practice, demanding the best performance from the Lonestar / PEP suspension, but with everything working perfectly to give optimum performance, and scything his way through back markers, Justin took the chequered flag after fifteen minutes for a comfortable gate to flag victory, Sean Goss finishing 2nd and Brian Kerr rounding out the top three.

Race Two

As the rain began to fall at the start of the second moto, Justin headed out on the opening lap in 14th position after a poor start by his standards, but undeterred and settling quickly down to the task at hand, the multi British and Ulster Champion quickly began his ascension through the field. Making the most of the excellent power and handling of the Yamaha YFZ450, Justin was setting a blistering pace around the circuit, and had amazingly moved up to 5th as they approached half distance in the twelve – minute plus one lap race. Continuing his relentless pace over the next few laps, Justin caught and passed David Cowan for 4th and was now closing the gap to 3rd place Brian Kerr. As the last lap board greeted the riders, Justin had closed the gap substantially but was still almost six seconds behind hard charging Kerr. With the track offering few passing opportunities and several back markers to contend with, this deficit looked all but impossible to make up, but as the pair dropped in to the arena section for the last time, Justin had closed the gap to one second as they approached a back marker coming in to the last corner. With Kerr taking the safer outside line around the back marker, Justin took the tighter inside line, powering around the corner and up the finish straight to finish an amazing 3rd at the flag, securing the overall win for the day.

This has been another fantastic result for the F&F Racing GYTR Yamaha rider, Justin dominating the first race and showing amazing pace in tough conditions in the second moto, and will certainly leave Justin filled with confidence with the last round of the 2007 Ulster Premier Quad Championship being held at this circuit in two weeks time.”
